Fassbender Gallery is pleased to present new paintings by Chicago artist Matt Lamb. A successful local bussinessman, Lamb turned to painting full-time over fifteen years ago after living through a life threatening illness. Completely self-taught, he now creates expressive and painterly canvases with much attention to surface. Brightly colored creatures dance and cavort over impastoed landscapes or float free in space. Lamb has received wide acclaim for his deeply religious artistic efforts. Recently, he displayed a new suite of large wall hangings in Westminster Cathedral in London.
